It’s time to make a change. . . to your address.

Choosing a real estate agent to represent you in the purchase of a new home or property is a big deal. You want someone that is dependable and trustworthy. Someone that is knowledgeable and feels comfortable negotiating on your behalf. You want someone that makes the process easy, that stands in, and up, for you. Representing you as an agent goes far beyond finding your perfect home. It’s ensuring the home is safe and appropriate for your family while also providing a seamless experience. Throughout the process, I am your lifeline. You depend on me, and this is not a task I take lightly.

Steps to purchasing a home or property:

  1. Find an agent to represent you in the buying process. A real estate agent representing you in purchasing a home or property costs you NOTHING.

  2. Get pre-approved and secure financing. I provide my clients with a preferred lenders list to aid in choosing a lender suitable for their loan.

  3. Begin the search. Your agent will set up showings for you to see homes and properties that match your requests.

  4. Put in an offer. Your agent handles all of this.

  5. If the offer is accepted, the waiting begins. During this time, your agent and lender will set up an appraisal, inspection, arrange for title work to be handled, and other necessary steps to finalize a purchase. Having an agent makes this process easy for you.

  6. Choose an insurance agency for home insurance. I also provide my clients with a preferred list for recommended insurance agencies.

  7. Complete a final walkthrough of your new home or property with your agent.

  8. Close on the sale with your signatures and get the keys!

FAQ

  • As a buyer, how much does a real estate agent cost?

    • The real estate agent makes commission off of the sale of the home or property. Some real estate agents choose to charge a “buyer’s fee,” which provides the real estate agent with compensation for their time showing homes and properties.

  • Do you charge a buyer’s fee?

    • No, I do not charge a buyer’s fee. Using me as your buyer’s agent is free.

  • I saw a house I like, but you aren’t the listing agent. Can you still show me the house?

    • YES! This is a common question. I can show you any house or property within the state of Missouri, even if it is not listed by me or Mossy Oak Properties Mozark Realty. If there is a house or property you are interested in, let me know and I can arrange a showing for you to view.

  • I found a home I want to buy, but I need to sell mine first. What do I do?

    • You can put an offer in on the home you are interested in, contingent on the sale of your home. See my sellers page for information listing your home.

  • Do I have to have a down payment to purchase a home or property?

    • This depends on the type of loan you qualify for. My preferred lenders list will give you options for local lenders to discuss financial matters regarding your purchase.

  • What is a final walkthrough and is it necessary?

    • A final walkthrough is when you get to walk through and inspect your purchase one last time before finalizing the sale. This ensures nothing has changed since your offer was accepted. Sometimes, sellers agree to fix things within the home for the buyer. In this instance, buyers are able to make sure everything has been fixed according to the contract. A final walkthrough is not mandatory, but is highly recommended.

  • I live out of state, can you still help me?

    • Absolutely! I have had numerous buyers from out of state purchase locally. If you are unable to be in town but want to see a home or property quickly, I am happy to accommodate and do a showing via FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom.
